While we are accustomed to categorizing energy as good or bad, positive or negative, a shaman takes a different perspective. For a shaman, energy is seen simply as energy - neither inherently good nor bad, just existing. We recognize energy as either light or dense, without assigning moral value. Picture a straight line representing energy, with light energy or "Sami" on one end and heavy energy or "Hoocha" on the opposite end. In the middle, where the lite and heavy energy meets we find Harmony, known as Ayni. This illustrates our perception of energy - all the same, differing only in density.
Shamans work towards balance and harmony by shifting and transmuting energies. Through navigating these energies (Tinkuy), we aim to bring about balance. Heavy energies are transformed into light energies, fostering harmony in our hearts, homes, families, friends, and communities.
